It's very easy. If you add a box or product to your range, we can very easily add it to the selection of boxes or products on the touch screen. This is included in the service. Once the new product is configured in the system, going from packing one configuration to the other is just a tap of a button.
Our case packer only packs boxes, but we can also install a palletizer right after the case packer. The palletizer can be shared by several case packers and even your manual lanes. Contact us for more details.
Yes, this is a core design principle! The same machine can go from packing one box to packing another one with the tap of a button. Both lanes on the case packer are also independent from each other, meaning you can pack one type of box on one of them and another box on the other lane. The same applies to product. You could be packing 10s on one side and 12s in a different box on the other.
The case packer handles most common transport boxes used by food producers world wide. This includes RSC or HSC cardboard boxes, tray formed boxes, reusable plastic containers and more. Up to 800mm long is easy to achieve. For longer, contact us and we will see what we can do. Rather than list fixed dimensions, we match the machine to the boxes you actually ship, so send us your box specs and we'll confirm compatibility before any trial. If you are unsure if your box will work, feel free to send some over and we'll send back a video of us packing your products into it. We love a challenge.
Yes! We are able to detect visual defects such as missing best before dates, crushed cartons, missing labels, open cartons and much more. As a general rule, if the defect can be seen visually, the case packer will be able to detect the defect and won’t pack the defective products. There is a built-in rejection mechanism and buffer where to defective products are transferred. This makes sure the line keeps running.
Of course! We've designed the machine to be super easy to use. It only takes 15-20 minutes to learn to use the machine. Regardless, in the first days after an installation, we will be there to train your team and make sure things go as smoothly as possible. The case packer also comes with an operator and service manual, so your team can refresh their memory if ever needed. Our support will also answer any questions no matter how small.
The exact throughput will depend on the transport box, packing pattern and packaging size. With the largest carton sizes and transport boxes where we can place four cartons at a time, we are able to achieve over 50 000 eggs per hour on a single line. The case packer will grasp multiple products at once when possible, which means that packing patterns enabling those multiple grasps will be much faster. Get in touch and we can calculate the exact speed for your boxes and packing patterns.
Yes! You have the option of either choosing a full service contract in which case all parts are priced into a predictable yearly price or you can order parts as needed. We'd always keep some spares on-site and refill as needed.
We have telephone, Whatsapp and email support available to react quickly to any problems. We stock spare parts on customer sites and provide customers with a service manual to fix anything that could possibly break. If needed, we are able to dispatch a service technician within hours to come deal with any issues. Read our blog post on our service model for more information.
Day-to-day upkeep is light: routine cleaning and standard periodic checks keep the machine running smoothly. The machines are built to be simple and robust specifically so they don't demand a specialist maintenance team or constant intervention on your side. We'd come by once a year to check a few things and make sure you are set for another year of operations.
The best first step is a conversation about your needs and your line. We'll look at your products, your boxes and your throughput requirements. We'll then recommend the best solution for your particular operation. This is all free of charge, so don't hesitate to reach out.
Yes! We are happy to ship machines globally and can travel for support from our base in Zurich. In some countries, we are able to offer faster support through our partners, but this is not required.
No major changes. The machines are built to integrate into existing production lines as they are and are extremely compact compared to other machines on the market. That's the whole point of keeping them compact and simple: you avoid the complex, expensive integration work that usually comes with end-of-line automation. There's generally very few facilities we've seen where an implementation would not be possible.
The machine is very compact and designed for a quick installation. It's on wheels, so it's not a big project to move it around. We put the conveyors in place, make the necessary modifications to the product ramp and then wheel the robot in. This can be done in a few hours.
The case packer is compatible with most egg grading machines, such as the ones made by Moba or Sanovo. It can also be integrated with other machines and custom production lines. Get in touch to learn more about how it integrates with upstream lines.
The case packer doesn’t require any IT integration with upstream or downstream machines. It will simply wait for products to arrive on the line before packing them. The case packer is powered via a normal AC power. It can connect to the internet via wifi or ethernet, but this is not required.
Let's talk about your setup. We'll walk through your production line, understand your specific products and boxes, and show you exactly what our case packer can do.
