Mechatronics engineer - Automation

At Witty Machines, we are building affordable robots for small and medium sized businesses in the food industry.

We are looking for an early employee to help us improve the electromechanical design of our products.

Role Overview:

As an early employee, you will play a critical role in designing our products and solutions to integrate them into our customer’s workflows. As a mechatronics engineer, you would independently design components, design electrical circuits, work with our partners to get them manufactured and define our processes and operations. You will have a chance to grow with the company and get lots of responsibility, if you so desire. You will be part of the daily decision making of the company and will contribute to defining the strategy of the company.

Key Responsibilities:

• Designing mechatronics systems
• Design electrical circuits
• Mechanically design components in CAD
• Optimize our products to be easier to manufacture and deploy
• Make our products more usable by working with customers to understand their pain points
• Help us deploy our robots on the field and streamline installation processes
• Ensure our robots comply with latest industrial safety regulations
• Collaborate with software and robotics engineers to improve our products
• Work with our customers to help them integrate our products into their production workflows

Ideal qualifications:

• Experience designing mechanical components and systems
• Experience with deploying automation systems (robotics, PLCs, intralogistics equipment or other)
• Electrical and electronics knowledge - can combine components, design simple circuits

Compensation

90-120k CHF per year + equity.
